FASHION is a minor art. It’s VERY limited. Anna Wintour became a star thanks to “the Devil wears Prada”. NOBODY knew her outside the fashion industry. PLEASE DON’T COMPARE HER TO MADONNA. Madonna started from scratch, not Anna.

I loved the film! Anna is wonderful. I adore her because of her work ethic- I wish more people had that- and the fact that she expects the best from everyone who works with her and is unwilling to accept other wise. She’s very English

Draw inspiration from the past and make it work for the present and future.

‘fashions not about looking back, its about looking forward’ wtf? fashions always repeating itself! it may be remastered and updated however much, but there’s always a history behind it. does anyone agree with me or am i getting this totally wrong?!

I have a feeling she’s not as much of a bitch as people make her out to be. She’s just strong willed, knows what it takes to get the job done, and speaks her mind so there’s no question what she wants done. That’s why she’s on top of the fashion world and others aren’t.

vogue is safe….read the vogue book…vogue is not here to push the boundaries of fashion. Anna actually is the first one to mix it up at the magazine. check out her earlier work…shes actually quite controversial. it’s a dream and a lifestyle.. no silly games or “art projects”… thats why magazines like numero, purple, another, V, and pop exist…to fill that void. btw I saw anna/grace/virignia/and edward a couple weeks ago in person a couple weeks ago and I have to say that they look great!

@inspired81 Anna’s the draw. Even the fashion-clueless, like me would have heard of Wintour

What an amazing film. You can see where Streep got some of her ideas for ‘Devil wears…’. I agree that some of the photos were pieces of artwork. The 1920′s shoot was exquisite. I’d be heartbroken if something I’d put so much of my heart into was just cut so easily, though.
In the end, yes it’s a film about fashion in 2007. But, if that’s all you got from this film then you really missed the point. This is a psychological battle of wills to rival ‘Frost/Nixon’. A real must-watch.

lets sum it up: A reality-based film, focusing on fashion for the september issue of 2007. hmmm…not interested in paying $8.50 to watch a documentary when i could just watch reality tv at home or just watch The Devil Wears Prada again…
