The makaveli branded is the official clothing line of Tupac Shakur founded by his mother, Afeni Shakur. The makaveli brande has become popular due to the fact that it represented one of the music industry’s finest hip-hop artist in its time and a legacy that lived on until today, and that is Tupac Amaru Shakur.

After the death of Tupac, his mother Afeni Shakur, thought of a way to preserve his legacy not only through his music. One way is when Afeni founded the Shakur Family Foundation, which was later re-named the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation or TASF, in 1997 which was to provide training and support for students who aspire to enhance their creative talents. The Foundation officially opened the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts (TASCA) in Stone Mountain, Georgia, on June 11, 2005.

Another was on November 14, 2003, when a documentary about Shakur entitled Tupac: Resurrection was released under the supervision of his mother and narrated entirely in his voice. It was nominated for Best Documentary in the 2005 Academy Awards. The proceeds were donated to a charity set up by Shakur’s mother Afeni.
