I will recommend the following parts of Tokyo depending on what you are looking for: Geek stuff (video games, maids, computers) = Akihabara Futuristic Japan (neon, skyscrapers, trillion people) = Shinjuku College Age Fun (shopping, clubs, live music, restaurants) = Shibuya High school kids & Fashion (shopping, street fashion, crepes) = Harajuku For Japanese street fashion, there is nothing like Harajuku. Shibuya is cool too if you check out the areas around Center Street and Shibuya 109, but Omotesando Dori in Harajuku is THE street fashion capital of Japan, bar none. You are going to be hard pressed to find ANY all night shopping in Tokyo (except convenience stores). Most shops close by 9pm. The trains stop running around 1am and very little except clubs/bars are open after that. Enjoy your trip! How young is a “youngster” in this case?
